Nicole Kidman has opened up about her marriage to Tom Cruise, revealing that despite warnings from others, the union felt completely natural to her.
In a new interview with British Vogue, the actress shared rare comments about their decade-long relationship, saying they were 'madly' in love.
Kidman said people advised her against marrying Cruise, fearing she would only be seen as his wife, but she didn't care.
She explained, 'I'm like, "So what? I wasn't meant to marry the man I love?
Of course I'll throw my career away. I don't care."'
The couple married on Christmas Eve in 1990 when Kidman was 23 and Cruise was 28, and she felt comfortable at high-profile events because of his stardom.
Kidman has rarely discussed the marriage, which ended in 2001, previously saying it felt disrespectful to her current husband, Keith Urban.
However, after finalizing her divorce from Urban in January, she seems more open to reflecting on the past.
Now, Kidman has taken up a new hobby: partying at raves in Ibiza, instead of quiet nights at home.
