Tyler Boebert, the son of U. S.
Representative Lauren Boebert, has accepted a plea deal in his child abuse case, which could result in jail time.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the Weld County District Attorney's Office offered a deal where Tyler would plead guilty to child abuse/negligence without injury.
The District Attorney recommended a sentence capped at 30 days in jail and 12 months of supervised probation, along with completion of a parenting program.
Background of the Case
Tyler was initially charged after his baby was found wandering around the neighborhood in July 2025.
Prosecutors later alleged a second incident occurred one month before, where the baby was unattended and wandering in just a diaper under Tyler's care.
Before the second incident was reported, Rep.
Boebert defended her son, saying he had been doing a great job getting his life on track as a father and citizen.
She attributed the event to a miscommunication on monitoring her young grandson, which led to him getting out of the house.
Separately, Tyler was arrested on charges of child sexual exploitation, stemming from a video he filmed when he was 18 with his then-girlfriend, who was weeks away from turning 18.
