A new hands-on video showcases a dummy of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide, offering the clearest look yet at Samsung's upcoming foldable.

The dummy, shared by Sonny Dickson, appears closer to final production hardware than earlier aluminum placeholders.

It provides a better sense of the device's proportions, thickness, and overall feel.

The video shows three upcoming Samsung foldables together: the Galaxy Z Fold Ultra, Galaxy Z Flip 8, and the wider Fold variant.

Compared to older models, the wider version is noticeably shorter and broader, approaching the proportions of a small tablet when unfolded.

Despite its larger footprint, the device appears extremely thin. Earlier leaks suggested a thickness of around 9.8mm when folded and roughly 4.3mm when unfolded.

The dummy also reveals refined exterior details not seen before.

On the back, it features a pill-shaped camera island housing two sensors, likely a main and ultrawide setup.

This may indicate Samsung is intentionally differentiating this model from the Ultra variant.

The wider aspect ratio appears more practical for typing, multitasking, gaming, and watching videos without excessive black bars.

Previous Galaxy Fold devices have often been criticized for feeling too narrow when closed and awkward when unfolded.

Samsung is expected to unveil its next foldables during a Galaxy Unpacked event in July, reportedly taking place in London.

While the wider aspect ratio itself is not new, these latest dummy leaks give a much clearer look at how refined the hardware may already be.

Samsung could finally be moving toward a foldable design that feels less experimental and more naturally usable day to day.
