Lenovo is known for experimenting with flexible screens. New renders show a rollable laptop codenamed Project Swan, which expands horizontally instead of vertically.
The images, shared by Windows Latest, reveal a palm rest that identifies the device as part of the ThinkBook series.
This aligns with Lenovo's previous rollable models, like the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6, which launched last year with an office-first approach.
Design and Features
When closed, Project Swan looks like a standard laptop. It features a centered webcam and two USB-C ports on the left edge.
The right side is not shown, leaving its ports unknown.
The rear panel has a two-tone finish with cutouts on both sides. According to a report, guide rails tuck away the extra screen when not in use.
Motors pull the hidden flexible OLED panel out from both sides when needed.
To accommodate the rails, the hinge is shorter and more centered than on a typical ThinkBook.
The renders don't show a Copilot key, but the taskbar displays an active Recall icon near the system tray.
Lenovo also showcased a ThinkBook Modular AI PC concept and shipped the ThinkBook Plus Gen 7 Auto Twist with a motorized hinge this year.
Project Swan appears to be early-stage hardware, so pricing and release date are not expected yet.
Given how quickly other rollable concepts have moved from leak to stage demo, an official reveal may be imminent.
