Minimal has announced the Minimal Phone 2, a significant update to its original QWERTY device. The most notable change is the display, which moves from E-Ink to OLED.
The phone retains the physical QWERTY keyboard that defined its predecessor. It is now available to back on Kickstarter, with pricing starting at $599.

The device measures 122.6 x 72 x 9.48 mm, keeping it pocketable despite the keyboard.
Standard versions come in Onyx or Pearl, while the Founder's Edition is available in Ember.
Up front, the Minimal Phone 2 features a 3.92-inch OLED panel with 1080 x 1240 resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate.
A 20MP selfie camera sits above the display.

On the back, there is a 50MP f/1.8 main camera.
Under the hood, the phone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8300 chip, suitable for daily tasks without flagship pricing.
The battery capacity is 3000mAh, supporting 27W wired and 15W wireless charging. The device runs Minimal OS, the company's custom layer built on Android.
Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, Wi-Fi 6E, and dual SIM support with one physical slot and one eSIM.

A side-mounted fingerprint reader is also included.
Minimal has kept the 3.5mm headphone jack, along with dual speakers and dual microphones.
The USB-C port supports DisplayPort output and USB-C audio, allowing connection to external monitors.
The Kickstarter campaign has already surpassed its funding goal, raising over $800,000 from more than 1,200 backers.
