Samsung has announced that global pre-orders for its latest foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 8, and Galaxy Z Flip 8, have surged 30% compared to the previous generation.
The company attributes the strong demand to updated designs, enhanced Galaxy AI features, and improved productivity experiences.
In India, the response has been particularly impressive. Within 72 hours of launch, the new foldables received over 271,000 pre-orders.
Last year, it took 15 days for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 to reach a similar figure.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra starts at Rs 1,99,999 (~$2,100), while the Galaxy Z Fold 8 is priced from Rs 1,79,999 (~$1,890).
The Galaxy Z Flip 8 starts at Rs 1,24,999 (~$1,315).
All three models are available in multiple color options through online and offline retail stores.
Samsung has also introduced a 30-month no-cost EMI option for the new foldables in India.
This financing option is available through Samsung's official channels and participating retailers, allowing buyers to reduce monthly payments without a down payment.
