Just days after news broke of OnePlus leaving the US and Europe, a new report indicates the brand is also exiting India.

According to Bloomberg, OnePlus's pullback from Western markets is the first phase of a wider global retreat.

Sources familiar with the matter told Bloomberg that Oppo plans to eventually shut down OnePlus operations across most of the world, including India, sometime in 2027.

China is expected to be the only market where the OnePlus brand continues as usual.

The decision reportedly stems from financial pressures.

Oppo's phone business has faced weak momentum in the US, Europe, and India, along with rising geopolitical friction over selling Chinese-made phones in the US.

Sister brand Realme is said to be exiting China entirely as part of the same restructuring.

OnePlus has already been reducing its footprint in India for months.

The company shut down most partner-run offline stores, shifted to an online-first model, and merged its after-sales network with Oppo's.

It is also expected to replace its distinct OxygenOS software with Oppo's ColorOS.

Neither OnePlus nor Oppo has commented on the report yet.

The news follows earlier speculation that India might remain unaffected, but now it appears the market will see a delayed exit.
