Lia Jones, star of "Married to Medicine: Los Angeles," has filed a domestic violence restraining order against her ex-husband Colin Dias, claiming he tried to hire a neighbor to kill her.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Jones alleges a neighbor told her that Dias asked "what would it cost to get rid of [her]."
The neighbor reportedly said Dias mentioned he could obtain a "clean gun" for the murder.
Jones claims Dias is "actively looking and recruiting to have it done."
She also alleges a history of domestic violence, including an incident five years ago where Dias allegedly hit her with a belt and dragged her by her hair.
A restraining order was granted at that time.
Jones further states that Dias has a deep hatred for her that "has shifted to control and obsession," and she believes he has the "means and desire" to commission a murder.
The court denied Jones' request for a restraining order, stating that a formal hearing was required to address the hearsay assertions.
A hearing has been scheduled for August 5.
Jones shares a minor son and daughter with Dias.
She also asked the court to allow her to immediately sell a home she claims Dias forced her to sign over to him in exchange for access to their children.
She says the sale would satisfy defaults on the property and avoid foreclosure. The court denied this request but set a hearing for the matter.
The couple's divorce was finalized in 2023, with Dias obtaining sole legal and physical custody of their children, while Jones received monitored visits.
In 2021, Dias obtained a restraining order against Jones after she allegedly threatened to kill him and physically attacked him.
Jones has stated she completed a 52-week domestic violence course, parenting and anger management classes, and therapy.
TMZ has reached out to Dias for comment but has not received a response.
