Jen Belichick, the daughter-in-law of legendary NFL coach Bill Belichick, is facing an arrest order after failing to appear in court for a speeding case.
According to court documents, Jen was cited for misdemeanor speeding in May after being clocked driving 88 mph in a 70 mph zone in Brunswick County, North Carolina.
She was ordered to appear in court last Friday, but prosecutors say she did not show up. A judge subsequently issued an order for her arrest.
Jen has several options: she can turn herself in, have an attorney handle the case, or ask the court to recall the arrest order and schedule a new hearing.
It is unclear if she has been taken into custody, and neither Jen nor the Belichick family has commented publicly.
This is not the first time Jen has made headlines.
She has been involved in reported friction with Bill's girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, including public criticism of Jordon's role in a CBS interview and reports of family tension at the University of North Carolina.
