Xiaomi has launched a free repair program for devices damaged by recent heavy rainstorms and floods in several Chinese provinces.
The initiative covers smartphones, tablets, laptops, wearables, and some home appliances in affected regions.
The program runs from May 22 to June 20, 2026, and targets areas in Jiangxi, Hunan, and Hubei provinces.
Eligible products include Xiaomi and Redmi phones, tablets, smart bands, watches, earphones, and laptops.
Users can receive free inspections, cleaning, and repairs for water damage caused by the storms.
Xiaomi service centers will also offer charging facilities, WiFi access, and drinking water for visitors.
Customers can visit offline centers or apply for mail-in repair services in select locations.
The support extends to Mijia ecosystem products and large household appliances affected by flooding or water ingress.
Covered regions include parts of Ganzhou in Jiangxi, multiple counties in Hunan, and areas in Jingzhou and Enshi in Hubei.
Applications can be made through the Xiaomi Mall app under the after-sales section, by calling the 950816 hotline, or via the official WeChat service account.
Water damage is typically excluded from standard warranty, so this move offers significant relief for affected users.
Xiaomi advises customers to contact nearby service centers as early as possible due to potentially high demand.
