President Donald Trump is celebrating the Great American State Fair as a major success, even as photos from the event suggest attendance may not be as high as he claims.
On Truth Social Monday morning, Trump boasted about the patriotic event on the National Mall, asking supporters if they appreciated the "fantastic job" his team did.
He described the fair as "packed with happy people."
The president also took shots at his predecessors, writing, "DO YOU THINK THAT OBUMA OR SLEEPY JOE BIDEN COULD HAVE DONE IT?
THE ANSWER IS NO!"
Trump's post comes amid online chatter about the fair's attendance.
Critics have shared photos and videos showing large empty spaces on the Mall, questioning whether the event is as crowded as the administration suggests.
Organizers maintain the fair has been a success, and Trump has repeatedly insisted attendance is strong.
The differing accounts have sparked debate, with perception of crowd size often depending on the observer.
Regardless of the online criticism, Trump is declaring the fair a win and is not seeking a second opinion.
