When the team’s general manager was asked when Aaron Rodgers would join the team a few weeks ago, he replied shortly. But it’s high time the supporters got some clarification. Has anything between the parties changed?
Why Is the Aaron Rodgers-New York Trade Taking So Long?
It is generally accepted that both sides are unable to agree on the appropriate compensation amount. The Packers are unwilling to accept less than what a Rodgers deal would typically bring, while the Jets do not want to overpay for the back-to-back MVP winner.
Even if the transaction is taking an absurdly long time, it is reasonable to assume that the quarterback will most likely play for NY this year. Sports Illustrated Insider Albert Breer participated in the discussion even though the trade hasn’t materialized.
The Insider made significant salary news public. In the transaction, one of the Jets’ second-round picks for the 2023 NFL Draft will be sent by both teams. The deal-breakers, though, are the outlook for the following years.

The Titans Are Also Showing Interest in Rodgers
There are only 10 days until the 2023 NFL Draft. This might cause further turbulence. Although only one team has started making advances on Rodgers, it won’t be long until other teams join the romance.
According to a former NFL executive who talked with the NFL Analysis Network, the Tennessee Titans approached the Green Bay Packers in an effort to trade for Aaron Rodgers. The executive stated that Rodgers will choose the Jets, but he also cautioned that Tennessee might enter the picture if the negotiations fail.
Given that they are currently in their rebuilding phase and do not plan to compete in 2023, the Titans are an unexpected opponent for Rodgers. As a result, the Jets seem like the most obvious destination for the quarterback who wants to capture his second Super Bowl championship.
