Paul George of The Clippers Re-Injures His Right Hamstring in A Defeat.

Earlier this season, Paul George, star guard for the Los Angeles Clippers, missed seven games due to a strain of his right hamstring, the same hamstring he tweaked on Monday night.

At Arena, the Clippers lost 110-100 to the Miami Heat despite George’s 25 points and 7 assists in only 5 quarter minutes.

On Tuesday, George plans to get his hamstring treated and see how it does. There is some doubt as to whether or not George will be able to join the Clippers on their upcoming back-to-back road trip. On Thursday, the Clippers will go to Denver, and on Friday, they will visit Minnesota.

On Monday, the Clippers lost their third consecutive game without Kawhi Leonard, who was sidelined by an ailment unrelated to COVID-19. How available Leonard is for the future trip is still unknown.

Even though Leonard and George had been healthy again since the previous Monday, the Clippers hadn’t really felt like a whole unit until that day. After the loss to the Heat, a downcast Ty Lue said that he had no idea how George was doing beyond the fact that he had tweaked his hamstring again.

Due to discomfort in his right hamstring tendon, George sat out seven contests in late November and early December. Leonard was sidelined for the same amount of time due to a right ankle sprain.

On Monday evening, George remarked, “Often hamstrings are very, very significant injuries.” “So, when I was first dealing with my hamstring [during the prior layoff], I thought the initial approach was just good, clever. Once I got back, we waited until it stopped hurting and I wasn’t having any problems.

Not until [Tuesday] can we expect to get any further information. “But it is my responsibility to do the best I can and take it from there.”

After getting a foul from Miami’s Bam Adebayo with 1:40 left in the third quarter, George, who scored 13 points during the Clippers’ comeback from a 20-point hole, claimed he felt something with his hamstring.

He sat out the final two minutes of the period before leaving the bench to return to the locker room to treat his hamstring injury.

Despite returning to the game with 5:39 to go, George scored only three points on one shot.
