Which Player from Gujarat Titans Would Like to Lead His Team in The IPL Auction?

Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 may not begin until March of the following year, but for the franchises, the season has already begun, with 10 teams having already announced their retentions. The auction for the upcoming season’s players will take place in Kochi on Friday, and that’s when half the battle will supposedly be won.

Successful teams in the auction typically provide great results, and 2023 won’t be an exception since the mini-auction will only allow the franchises to bolster their existing squads.

Out of the 991 players that initially registered for the IPL 2023 auction, only 405 were ultimately chosen to participate. As many as 119 capped players will be among the 273 Indian players and 132 international stars who will be auctioned off on Friday.

Hugh Edmeades, who passed out at the IPL 2022 super auction in Bengaluru, is healthy enough to preside over the Kochi-based auction.

The two clubs that had the least success last year, the Punjab Kings and the SunRisers Hyderabad, respectively, have released several of their best players, including their leaders, Mayank Agarwal and Kane Williamson, and are thus bringing the most money to the auction.

What the defending champion Gujarat Titans and the rookie Lucknow Super Giants do at the auction table on Friday will be crucial in avoiding the second-season malaise.

Franchise owners may rest easy knowing that their Australian and English players will be available for the full 2019 IPL season.

If the Covid-19 pandemic is under control, the tournament will also revert to a home-and-away format for the first time since 2019. When scouting players for the mini-auction, each side will have certain criteria in mind.

The website Indiatoday. in analyses the roster holes of ten different teams and makes three draught picks for each of them.

The prize money and remaining spots for each team are listed below. In order to participate in IPL 2023, each club must have between 18 and 25 players on their roster.
