Mercedes Set to Face Kairi for The Iwgp Women S Championship
The Boss made great strides in the WWE as Sasha Banks. She was a part of multiple firsts and a consistent contender for the title, taking home nearly every women’s Championship up for grabs.
She is one of only a few women to have won the NXT Women’s Championship in addition to all the current Championships on the WWE main roster. She is one of only five women to have ever competed in the main event at WrestleMania.
Despite all of her accomplishments, she was frequently booked inconsistently, which resulted in a number of conflicts with management and ultimately led to her leaving the WWE.
As expected, Banks made an appearance at Wrestle Kingdom 17 wearing the disguise of Mercedes Mone and attacked fellow former WWE star Kairi to declare her intention to contend for the newly established IWGP Women’s Championship.
