Maria Avila, a former housekeeper for Chris Brown, testified Monday that she believed she would die when a large dog attacked her at the singer's Los Angeles mansion.

Avila, who had worked at the home only four times, told the jury she was unaware any dogs were present until the attack occurred while she was taking out the trash.

She stated that neither Brown nor his team warned her about the dogs.

She could not specify the distance.

She required surgery on her face, arm, and legs, and said her face was disfigured to the point she avoided mirrors.

Avila claimed Brown saw her after the attack but left once 911 was called. She said he did not offer comfort.

Brown previously testified he did not call 911 himself, fearing the call would leak, and left it to his team.
