Xiaomi is reportedly developing the Pad 9 series, which may include the Pad 9 and Pad 9 Pro.
Tipster Kacper Skrzypek has uncovered details about the standard model through HyperOS code.
The code reveals that the Xiaomi Pad 9 will have model numbers M656BA, 26103RP65G, and 26103RP65I. The "2610" prefix points to a potential launch in October 2026.
Skrzypek found that the Pad 9 will pack a 9,720mAh battery, an upgrade from the 9,200mAh cell in the Pad 8.
The tablet is also expected to feature the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip, similar to its predecessor.
According to a December report, the Pad 9 will have a wider release, but the Pad 9 Pro may skip India.
The Pro model is rumored to come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip.
While the model number suggests an October launch, the Pad 9 could debut earlier in China.
The Pad 8 series launched alongside the Xiaomi 17 series in September 2025, and rumors indicate the Xiaomi 18 family will arrive in September 2026.
This raises the possibility that the Pad 9 series may be unveiled with the Xiaomi 18 lineup.
