Vivo is expected to launch the X Fold 6 foldable smartphone in China this month, possibly after the June 18 shopping festival.

Ahead of the official announcement, a new leak has revealed the device's battery capacity.

Tipster Experience More shared an image showing that the Vivo X Fold 6's dual-cell battery was approved earlier this year by China's 3C authority.

The certification lists two cells: 2,807mAh and 3,863mAh, giving a combined rated value of 6,670mAh.

The typical capacity is likely to be 6,900mAh.

The same screenshot also shows an 8,905mAh rated battery (typical capacity of 9,100mAh) approved in May, which may power an upcoming Vivo or iQOO phone.

In the Chinese market, the X Fold 6 will compete with the Oppo Find N6 (6,000mAh battery) and Honor Magic V6 (6,850mAh battery, with a 7,150mAh variant for the 1TB model).

The global version of the Magic V6 has a smaller 6,660mAh battery.

Other rumored specs include the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, a round camera module with a 200MP main camera, 50MP ultra-wide, and 50MP periscope telephoto.

The phone is also expected to feature a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and high water resistance.

Last year's Vivo X Fold 5 had a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, 6,000mAh battery, triple 50MP cameras, and IP58/IP59 dust and water resistance.
