Xiaomi has introduced a new commuter bag, the Mijia Minimalist Business Backpack, now available on its Youpin platform.
The initial crowdfunding price is set at 149 yuan ($22), with a standard retail price of 199 yuan ($29) to follow.

Design and Storage Features
The backpack features a dual-compartment layout to separate work gear from personal items.
An internal manganese steel plate helps the bag maintain its shape and stand upright even when not fully packed.
A dedicated laptop compartment accommodates devices up to 16 inches, while a separate padded sleeve fits tablets up to 11.2 inches.

The laptop section uses a suspended bottom design to prevent the device from resting directly on the bag's base.
With 14 liters of capacity and 13 pockets, the main section can hold a change of clothes for short trips.
Smaller pockets include a velvet-lined compartment for glasses, a waterproof side pocket for wet umbrellas or water bottles, and quick-access zippered slots for IDs, badges, and pens.
The exterior is made from high-density polyester with a Level 4 water-resistance rating, suitable for light rain and splashes.

It weighs 0.86 kg and measures 290 x 120 x 400 mm.
For comfort, the backpack includes S-shaped shoulder straps and a padded honeycomb mesh back panel for airflow.
A luggage pass-through strap on the back allows it to slide over a rolling suitcase handle.

The Mijia Minimalist Business Backpack is available in three muted colors: Charcoal Black, Light Gray, and Beige.
