Timex has added three new Q Timex Chronograph watches to its US storefront, leaning on 1970s motorsport design cues.
The models pair retro styling with standard quartz movements and are positioned as accessible everyday alternatives to higher-end mechanical racing watches.
Three Colorways, One Retro Formula
The entry-level model, TW2Y88700, has a cream dial with contrasting black sub-dials, a brown tachymeter bezel, and a brown leather strap sourced from the Leather Working Group.
Two stainless steel bracelet versions are also available: an ice-blue dial with a black bezel (TW2Y88600) and a dark green dial with a matching green bezel (TW2Y88500).
All three share a contrasting sub-dial layout and include a date window on the dial.
The hardware is consistent across the trio, starting with a 40mm brushed and polished stainless steel case.
Lug-to-lug distance measures 46.5mm, while the case height is 15mm, a thickness largely driven by the domed acrylic crystal.
Acrylic scratches more easily than sapphire glass, but it suits the vintage positioning of the Q line and can be polished at home.
Lug width is 18mm, and Timex includes quick-release spring bars on both the leather and steel bands for tool-free strap swapping.
Inside, a standard battery-operated quartz analog movement powers each watch.
The chronograph function runs through two pushers on the right side of the case, letting wearers track elapsed time and calculate average speed with the exterior tachymeter bezel.
Luminescent in-fill on the hands and hour markers improves visibility in low light.
Water resistance is rated at 50 meters, enough for everyday splashes and rain but not for prolonged swimming or diving.
Pricing and Availability
The cream dial variant on the leather strap is priced at $239.
The ice-blue and green dial models on stainless steel deployant clasp bracelets retail for $269.
All three are currently available for purchase in the US market.
The launch follows other recent Timex releases, including the Deepwater Meridian 200 HEV Automatic with sapphire crystal and ceramic bezels, and the Atelier GMT Première M1a with a Swiss automatic movement.
