Peladn has introduced a new configuration of its WO5 mini PC in China, aiming at the budget desktop segment.
The system is priced at 1,549 yuan, roughly $230, and runs on an AMD Ryzen 5 3500U processor.
The WO5 is built around the Ryzen 5 3500U, a chip based on the Zen+ architecture.
It packs four cores and eight threads, with a base clock of 2.1GHz and a boost frequency of up to 3.7GHz.
With a 15W TDP, the processor is positioned for everyday tasks such as office applications, online classes, video conferencing, web browsing, and media playback.
Memory, Storage, and Connectivity
Despite its entry-level price, the Peladn WO5 offers several upgrade options. It includes two SO-DIMM slots that support dual-channel DDR4-2666 memory and ships with 8GB of RAM.
For storage, the mini PC comes with a 256GB SSD and a PCIe 3.0 x4 M. 2 2280 slot that also accepts SATA drives.
A secondary SATA 3 M. 2 2242 slot allows users to add another SSD.
The port selection is extensive for a compact desktop.
The front panel houses two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, a 3.5mm headphone and microphone combo jack, and a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port.
That Type-C port also supports DisplayPort 1.4 video output at up to 4K 60Hz.
On the rear, the WO5 provides two HDMI 2.0 ports, a Gigabit Ethernet port, two USB 2.0 ports, and a DC-in connector.
Wireless connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0, which should ensure stable network performance and compatibility with modern accessories.
The combination of ports allows the WO5 to drive up to three displays simultaneously, making it suitable for multi-monitor office setups and multitasking.
