A new hands-on image of the Vivo X500 has appeared online, exposing key specifications that Vivo has not yet officially confirmed.

The leak comes from tipster Panda is Bald, who shared the device details ahead of the phone's expected debut.

The image indicates that the Vivo X500 runs on a Dimensity 9600M chipset with eight cores clocked at 4.21GHz.

This marks the first on-device confirmation of the Dimensity 9600M, a chip that is likely based on the Dimensity 9500.

The base model is listed with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

Vivo also supports virtual memory expansion up to 24GB and storage expansion up to 50GB through compression.

Camera and Battery Details Emerge

For photography, the X500 uses the same main sensor as the X300 Pro: a Blueprint-branded Sony LYTIA-828 measuring 1/1.28-inch.

Vivo claims this is the largest main camera sensor it has used on a standard X-series model.

The main camera features Zeiss gimbal-level stabilization with a CIPA 5.5 rating.

The telephoto camera is borrowed from the X500 Pro, using a Sony LYTIA-610 sensor in an APO telephoto setup, also with CIPA 5.5 stabilization.

The telephoto shooter can record 4K video at 120fps for slow-motion footage.

Vivo may also offer dedicated teleconverter support for the standard X500, while image processing is handled by the Blueprint V3+ imaging chip.

Powering the device is a 7,500mAh battery, as confirmed in the leaked spec sheet.

Vivo is expected to reveal the X500's price and availability at its official launch on September 21 at 7 PM.

The X500 series will be introduced alongside several other products. More details should emerge at the launch event.
