A Delta Airlines flight carrying Andrew Garfield and several other celebrities was diverted to New Mexico on Wednesday afternoon after crew members detected an electrical odor, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
The Boeing 767 was en route from Los Angeles International Airport to New York's JFK Airport when it was redirected to Albuquerque International Sunport, where it landed safely.
TMZ reported that Garfield was joined on the flight by actors Owen Thiele and Nick Robinson, as well as "Love Island USA" castmate Dylan Wrona and singer Mark Ambor.
No injuries were reported.
Delta apologized to customers in a statement, saying the plane was diverted due to a "smoky odor" and that the airline would work to "accommodate customers as quickly as possible to their final destinations."
Passengers Share Reactions on Social Media
Owen Thiele, star of the show "Adults," posted about the incident on Instagram, sharing photos and writing that "we just had an emergency landing in Albuquerque."
He also noted Garfield's presence on the flight, saying, "Andrew Garfield on my flight," and shared a selfie with the caption, "If plane went down it would've said Andrew Garfield and others.
Nick Robinson here too."
After landing, Nick Robinson posted a selfie with Thiele, jokingly calling themselves "survivors."
