During a Republican convention in Dallas, Texas, Vice President JD Vance interrupted his speech to address a man waving a Mexican flag in the audience.
The incident occurred Thursday night at the GOP midterm convention, where Vance was speaking to a packed house.
As security surrounded the man, who was wearing a purple shirt, audience members began chanting "USA."
Vance told the man that if he loves Mexico so much, he should go there, adding that he would buy him a plane ticket.
The remark drew massive applause from the crowd.
Vance said he had prepared a speech but changed course after seeing the flag waver, calling the flag a symbol of the far left.
He added that the man would rather live in Dallas, Cincinnati, or any other American city than in Mexico.
The Vice President also claimed that Democratic candidates are not concerned about the welfare of the American people.
He said they only want to tell people and their children how to live and who to hate.
Vance concluded his impromptu remarks by saying, "It's about foreign fraudsters, and it's about who they hate, and we got to send their asses back into November."
Afterward, he delivered his prepared speech and welcomed country music star Lee Greenwood to the stage.
President Trump also gave a speech at the event.
