Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 8 relies on Armor Aluminum, Gorilla Glass, and IP48 resistance, with Flex Titanium technology supporting its construction.
The Fold 8 feels more established as a productivity device, particularly with its wider landscape-oriented inner screen.
Both phones feature 7.6-inch 120Hz LTPO OLED panels with peak brightness reaching 3,000 nits.
Apple adds HDR10, Dolby Vision, an anti-reflective coating, and a Nano Texture finish, which could make the Duo appealing for reading and outdoor viewing.
Its smaller 5.4-inch cover screen keeps the folded experience closer to a compact phone.
The Fold 8 offers a 4:3 inner display with 2,448 x 1,848 resolution and HDR10+, alongside a 5.5-inch cover display.

Apple's A20 Pro chip gives the iPhone Duo a major performance advantage on paper, with a 2nm design and a seven-core GPU.
It also offers up to 12GB RAM and an unusually high 2TB storage option, and iOS 27 should make the hardware attractive to users already invested in Apple's ecosystem.
Samsung counters with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, up to 16GB RAM, and UFS 4. x storage.
Its eight-core processor and Adreno 840 GPU make it a serious flagship performer, while Android 17 and One UI 9 provide more customization.
