Xiaomi has put its Mijia Portable Air Inflator on sale through JD. com for 199 yuan, roughly $30.
The pump first appeared on Xiaomi Youpin last September as a crowdfunding gadget priced at 159 yuan.
It is built for topping up bicycle, electric vehicle, and motorcycle tires, as well as sports balls.
Drivers can also keep it in the car as a backup for emergency tire inflation.
Design and Inflation Performance
At 240g, the inflator is light enough to carry in a bag without adding much weight.
Its matte IML finish is designed to resist scratches and everyday wear.
An adjustable L-shaped air hose connects to different valve types, while a multi-segment display shows the remaining battery level.
The compact body also makes the pump easy to store.
Inside, a high-precision die-cast alloy cylinder can reach pressures of up to 150psi.
Xiaomi says the pump can inflate a bicycle tire from empty in around 60 seconds.
Preset modes cover motorcycles, bicycles, and balls, and there is a custom mode as well.
The custom mode remembers the last pressure setting, so users do not have to enter it again for the same type of tire.
A built-in light on the bottom can provide constant white light or an SOS flashing signal.
Power comes from a 2000mAh lithium-ion battery, which Xiaomi says is enough to inflate up to eight empty bicycle tires on a single charge.
The pump measures tire pressure within ±1psi and automatically calibrates itself every time it is turned on.
Once the selected pressure is reached, the inflator stops pumping automatically.
The portable model is not Xiaomi's only new inflator.
The company recently launched the Mijia Air Pump 3, a larger model with two 2500mAh batteries aimed more at faster car-tire inflation.
For smaller jobs involving bicycles, scooters, motorcycles, or balls, the Mijia Portable Air Inflator offers a more compact option.
It is now available on JD. com for 199 yuan.
