IFA 2026 concluded in Berlin on September 8, and this year's event felt notably different.

Chinese companies represented nearly half of the 1,900-plus exhibitors, Xiaomi made its IFA debut with a massive booth, and Samsung skipped the Messe floor for the first time in 35 years.

Beyond the keynotes, there was plenty of real hardware with real prices.

We've sifted through everything announced during Media Days and the show itself to pick the 15 products that will matter once the halls empty out.

Smartphones and Concept Devices

The Xiaomi 18 Fold was the headline phone of IFA, though it wasn't launched in Berlin.

It was shown outside China for the first time, featuring a short, wide 'passport' design with a 5.38-inch cover screen and a 7.58-inch inner panel.

It's also the first flagship to run Xiaomi's own XRing O3 chipset, which reportedly clears five million points on AnTuTu.

The phone launched in China on September 7 starting at around 10,999 yuan (~$1,640), with global availability not yet announced.

Xiaomi confirmed at IFA that Europe is a priority market but gave no date for the 18 Fold's release outside China.

That was the one thing we would have liked to hear.

Tecno showcased a working concept phone with a true 0mm display border.

The trick is an inverted rear display assembly, placing driver electronics behind the screen rather than along an edge.

It's a concept, not a product, but it's the first working demo of the idea.

Tecno also brought the MEGABOOK T15 360 Pro convertible and the CAMON Slim.

Smart Home and Appliances

Xiaomi's 3,300-square-metre booth was its biggest standalone overseas showcase ever, with more than 380 products on display.

The message was that Mijia, its smart-home brand, is now a European brand too, with over 2,000 SKUs across 130-plus categories.

Highlights included a triple-tub washing machine, an air conditioner using millimetre-wave radar to detect people, and a fridge with Cryo Fresh long-term storage.

On the same day, Xiaomi Auto signed memoranda with eight of Germany's largest dealer groups for a 2027 launch of the SU7 saloon and YU7 SUV.
