Huawei has officially launched the Nova 16 series in China, introducing four models: Nova 16 Ultra, Nova 16 Pro, Nova 16, and Nova 16z.
The lineup brings premium features including large batteries, advanced cameras, and HarmonyOS 6.1.

The Nova 16 Ultra and Nova 16 Pro share a 6.84-inch OLED display with 2856x1320 resolution, 1-120Hz LTPO adaptive refresh rate, 2160Hz PWM dimming, and Kunlun Glass protection.
Both are powered by the Kirin 9010S chipset and run HarmonyOS 6.1.
Battery and Charging
A 7,000mAh battery is standard on both models, supporting 100W wired fast charging. The Ultra variant adds 50W wireless charging and 7.5W reverse wireless charging.
Camera System
The Nova 16 Ultra features a 200-megapixel RYYB main camera with OIS, a 50-megapixel RYYB periscope telephoto with OIS, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide macro camera, and a Red Maple colour sensor.

The front houses a 50-megapixel selfie camera with a Red Maple color lens.
The Nova 16 Pro uses a similar triple camera setup: a 200-megapixel main, 50-megapixel periscope telephoto, and 50-megapixel ultra-wide macro.
Both devices support 4K video recording, AI-powered imaging, AI-assisted composition, portrait enhancements, and telephoto image optimization.
Connectivity and Durability
The Ultra model includes Tiantong satellite calling, satellite paging, two-way BeiDou satellite messaging, IP68 and IP69 protection, Bluetooth 6.0, Wi-Fi 7, infrared remote control, and aluminium alloy construction.
The Nova 16 Pro offers two-way BeiDou satellite messaging and an IP65 rating.

Pricing and Availability
The Huawei Nova 16 Ultra comes in Starry Black, Sky Blue, and White.
Pricing is 4,699 CNY (~$655) for 256GB, 5,199 CNY (~$725) for 512GB, and 5,799 CNY (~$810) for 1TB.
The Nova 16 Pro is available in Starry Black, Sky Blue, White, and Frost Purple.
It starts at 3,899 CNY (~$545) for 256GB, with 512GB at 4,399 CNY (~$615) and 1TB at 4,999 CNY (~$700).
