Vivo's upcoming X500 Pro series is shaping up to be a major leap in smartphone videography, with the latest teaser revealing support for 4K video recording at 240fps.
Product manager Han Boxiao confirmed that the Pro models will capture eight times more frames than standard 4K 30fps, allowing users to slow down footage while retaining full 4K resolution.

The feature is designed to capture fleeting moments like travel highlights with greater detail.
Vivo is also developing 4K 480fps and 4K 960fps slow-motion modes, using in-house frame interpolation and video speed mapping algorithms.
These would enable 16x and 32x slow motion while maintaining 4K output, ideal for scenes with splashing liquids or bursting bubbles.

Leaked image shows Pro Max's massive camera setup
An alleged photo shared online shows the Vivo X500 Pro Max next to the X300 Ultra, revealing a camera island that stretches almost across the phone's width.
A separate hands-on video appears to show a rotating ring around the camera module, possibly for ISO controls.

The X500 Pro Max is expected to feature three rear cameras: a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 200-megapixel telephoto, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide.
The main sensor is reportedly a 1/1.28-inch Sony LOFIC unit, while the telephoto could use Samsung's 1/1.4-inch HP0 sensor.
The phone is also rumored to sport a 6.85-inch LTPO display with 144Hz refresh rate and MediaTek's upcoming Dimensity 9600 chip.

The Vivo X500 series is confirmed to launch in September, with models including the X500, X500 Pro, and X500 Pro Max.
