Sony has officially announced the Xperia 10 VIII at a press conference, confirming earlier leaks and Geekbench listings.
The new mid-range smartphone retains the company's signature clean design without notches or punch-hole cutouts.

The device features a 6.1-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Sony claims the screen is 50% brighter than the previous model, while the dual speakers have been upgraded for fuller sound.
Camera and Battery
On the back, the Xperia 10 VIII sports a dual-camera setup with a 50MP main sensor and a 13MP ultra-wide lens.

The battery remains a 5,000mAh cell, with Sony promising up to two days of usage on a single charge.
Under the hood, the phone is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

It runs Android 16 out of the box.
Notably, the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 is the same processor found in the Xperia 10 VII, so performance gains are minimal.
However, Sony has introduced a new software feature called Point & Pay, which allows quick access to payment QR codes and loyalty cards by double-pressing the power button.

The Sony Xperia 10 VIII is priced at €599 (approximately $698) and will be available in Europe starting from mid to late September.
