Xiaomi has begun accepting blind reservations for its upcoming television, the Xiaomi TV S Pro RGB-Mini LED 2027 Ultra.
The new model uses RGB-Mini LED backlighting, a departure from the QD-Mini LED panels found in previous Xiaomi TVs.

Huawei also launched its first RGB-Mini LED television earlier this month, signaling a broader industry shift.
How RGB-Mini LED differs
Most current Mini LED TVs use a backlight of blue LEDs, with quantum-dot film or phosphor to produce red and green light.

This method is cost-effective and allows many local dimming zones, but it only controls brightness, not color.
RGB-Mini LED places individual red, green, and blue LED chips in each dimming zone.
This enables control over dimming, brightness, and the exact mix of RGB light at the source.

The reservation period runs from August 22 to September 1, 2026, at physical Xiaomi Stores in China.
A 100 yuan ($14.88) deposit secures the TV, along with a Xiaomi Sound 3.1 soundbar and three months of Xiaomi Video VIP.
