HONOR has officially unveiled its robotic smartphone at a global launch event in Guangzhou, China.
The device is now a real, mass-produced product, with pre-orders already open in China.

The standout feature is a fully integrated 4-DoF titanium mechanical gimbal built into the chassis. This is a first for any mainstream smartphone.
Gimbal Hardware and Hands-On Impressions
The gimbal motor weighs just 2.6 grams, which is 65% smaller than traditional gimbals. HONOR claims it delivers 200% stronger performance.
Over 100 precision components are packed into the mechanism. The camera can physically rotate, tilt, and track subjects at speeds up to 360° per second.
A transparent sliding cover protects the delicate gimbal. It can be slid over to the standard camera side, allowing third-party filter attachments.
The gimbal only operates when the phone is unfolded. The Camera app will notify the user if something isn't right.
During brief hands-on time, the mechanism felt smooth and responsive. Subject tracking is exceptionally fast and accurate thanks to the powerful chipset.
Image stabilization clearly surpasses traditional smartphones. A side-by-side comparison makes the difference instantly obvious.
A demo clip shot on-site showed impressive dynamic range and stability straight out of the camera.

Embodied AI and ARRI Partnership
HONOR showcased the phone's 'embodied' AI capabilities, positioning it as the 'brain' and 'eyes' for physical add-ons.
Through the YOYO assistant, users can issue voice commands or use a joystick to make the phone walk or dance.
These accessory kits aren't yet in mass production, but HONOR has committed to open-sourcing them. Enthusiasts can 3D-print their own attachments.
A major highlight was the partnership with ARRI, bringing ARRI's color science to the phone.
This includes 10-bit ARRI LogC3 recording with 14 stops of dynamic range and 11 built-in ARRI Looks.
The partnership will extend to the upcoming Magic 9 series, promising cinema-level imaging upgrades across the lineup.
YOYO Pro mode, powered by Alibaba's Qianwen large language model, can execute over 100 steps of complex tasks with a single sentence.
