Poco has begun teasing a new X-series smartphone, hinting at the imminent arrival of the standard Poco X8 5G.
The teaser, posted on X, shows a phone in Poco's signature yellow color, but the company has not yet confirmed the name or launch details.
Expected specifications
Recent reports suggest the Poco X8 could be a rebranded Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G, which launched in China last month.
It is expected to feature a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
Under the hood, it might pack a Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset and a massive 9,000mAh battery.
For photography, it could include an 8-megapixel selfie camera and a dual rear camera setup with 50-megapixel and 2-megapixel sensors.
Other expected features include HyperOS 3 based on Android 16, an in-screen fingerprint sensor, and an IP68/69-rated body.
The global edition of the Redmi Note 17 Pro might differ slightly, with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens instead of the 2-megapixel camera and a smaller 8,340mAh battery.
