  • Snapdragon 4 Gen 4: Total 623,464 (CPU 251,733; GPU 36,348; Memory 154,338; UX 181,045)
  • Dimensity 7400: Total 925,061 (CPU 340,697; GPU 145,500; Memory 157,129; UX 281,735)

In the 3DMark Wild Life Extreme Stress Test, the Dimensity 7400 delivers over 4x faster peak gaming performance.

Its low/base score is also over 4x higher.

  • Snapdragon 4 Gen 4: High 191, Low 189, Stability 99%
  • Dimensity 7400: High 850, Low 846, Stability 99.5%

Key differences

Both chips are 4nm, but the Dimensity 7400 uses TSMC's process, which often offers better performance and efficiency than Samsung's node used for the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4.

The CPU setup differs: Snapdragon uses a '2+6' configuration (two performance cores), while Dimensity has a '4+4' layout with four performance cores.

The Dimensity also clocks higher at 2.6 GHz vs 2.3 GHz.

For graphics, the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 has an Adreno 613 GPU, while the Dimensity 7400 packs a dual-core Mali-G615 with higher peak frequency and better computational capabilities.

The Dimensity also includes gaming enhancements that the Snapdragon lacks.

Camera support is another differentiator.

The Dimensity 7400 supports up to 200MP single cameras and 4K video recording, while the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 tops out at 108MP and 1080p.

The Dimensity also supports Google Ultra HDR.

Connectivity favors the Dimensity 7400 with faster 5G (3.27 Gbps vs 2.5 Gbps), Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.4, promising better stability in crowded areas.

Which one should you choose?

If you prioritize power efficiency and everyday reliability, the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 is a solid choice.
