A dramatic incident unfolded on Sunday at New York City's Brooklyn Bridge when a naked man jumped from the top of the span into the East River — and survived.
The entire episode was captured on video by stunned onlookers, who shared the footage on social media.

Man Climbs Tower with Kazakhstan Flag
According to NYPD sources, the 44-year-old man climbed to the top of the north tower before removing all his clothes.
He was reportedly carrying a Kazakhstan flag, which he attached to the bridge.

Officers from the NYPD's Emergency Service Unit responded and climbed the tower in an attempt to talk him down.

Their efforts were unsuccessful. As they were conversing, the man jumped off the tower and splashed into the river below.
Fortunately, the NYPD's Harbor Unit was on hand and pulled him from the water.

He miraculously escaped physical injury, given the height of the fall, but was taken to a hospital for psychiatric evaluation.
