Casio has introduced the Oceanus Manta S7000 series to the US market. The OCWS7000AP1A model, previously released in Japan this April, is now available stateside.
The watch is priced at $1,900 with a global production limit of 800 units.

Design and Materials
The timepiece is constructed primarily from titanium, keeping the weight at just 83 grams.
Both the case and the solid titanium band feature a titanium carbide coating to resist scratches.
The watch measures 9.5mm thick with a case size of 47.5mm by 42.8mm. It includes a one-touch, slide-adjustable, three-fold clasp.

Design elements incorporate traditional Japanese materials.
The three inset dials are made from white mother-of-pearl dyed with natural Awa indigo from Tokushima Prefecture.
The main dial is protected by a dual-curved sapphire crystal with anti-glare coating. The bezel is also sapphire crystal with a vapor deposition process creating a blue gradient.
Technology and Features
Internally, the S7000 uses Casio's Tough Solar system for recharging via ambient light. Timekeeping accuracy is ensured by Multi-Band 6 radio control.

Bluetooth connectivity allows syncing with the Casio Watches app for automatic time updates, world time management across 38 time zones and 300 cities, time and location logging, and a phone finder.
Additional features include 100-meter water resistance, a tachymeter, a one-second stopwatch, and a full auto-calendar. Battery life is approximately five months of normal operation without light exposure.
In total darkness, a power-saving function halts the analog hands, extending standby battery life to 19 months.
