Honor is reportedly developing the Magic 9 series, which is expected to include multiple models.

A fresh leak from tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed key specifications for the base model.

According to the tipster, the Honor Magic 9 will feature a 6.36-inch OLED LTPS display.

It is being tested with Qualcomm's 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, not the Gen 6 series as previously speculated.

The device is said to pack an 8,000mAh battery, which would be unusually large for a compact flagship.

Wireless charging is also expected, though charging speeds remain unknown.

Camera and durability features

The leaked prototype includes a 64MP periscope telephoto camera using the OmniVision OV64D sensor.

The rear camera setup is also tipped to include a 200MP main sensor with a 1/2.8-inch sensor and a 50MP ultra-wide lens.

Honor is reportedly partnering with German cinema brand ARRI to enhance videography on the Magic 9 lineup.

The phone is also expected to feature an ultrasonic 3D fingerprint scanner and IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance ratings.

The Honor Magic 9 series is anticipated to launch in China in October this year. Further details are expected as the launch approaches.
