Oppo has quietly reintroduced the Pad Air 5 in China with a fresh Starry White finish, months after the original launch.
The new color option comes with a notable price increase across all configurations.

The Starry White Edition starts at 2,099 yuan (~$309) for the 8GB + 128GB model, while the top-tier 12GB + 256GB Soft Light version is priced at 2,999 yuan (~$442).
In comparison, the standard Pad Air 5 launched at 1,899 yuan (~$280) for the same entry-level storage.
Same Hardware, Higher Cost
Apart from the color, the tablet retains the same specifications as the original.
It features a 12.1-inch LCD display with 2.8K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

The panel also carries German TÜV Rheinland anti-reflection certification for better outdoor visibility.
Under the hood, the device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Ultra chipset, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.
A 10,050mAh battery with 33W fast charging keeps the tablet running.
The Pad Air 5 includes AI features such as one-click PPT generation, note summarization, and cross-app content collection.
It also offers real-time handwriting optimization during note-taking.

The SIM-enabled variant supports standalone 5G connectivity.
Oppo also highlights ecosystem features that let the tablet automatically share a nearby Oppo phone's 5G connection without manually enabling hotspot mode.
Design-wise, the tablet measures 6.83mm thick and weighs under 600 grams.
Other features include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, an 8-megapixel front and rear camera setup, keyboard and stylus support, and ColorOS 16 out of the box.

The Starry White Edition will go on sale in China on May 29 through Oppo's official channels.
