OnePlus has announced a major shift in its global business strategy, confirming it will no longer launch new products in Europe, the United States, and Canada.

The company shared the news on its official Community forums, describing the decision as difficult and thanking long-time users for their support.

The change does not affect OnePlus India, where operations will continue as usual.

Support for Existing Devices Continues

Users in Europe and North America will still receive scheduled software updates, security patches, warranty coverage, customer support, and repair services according to original commitments.

However, after the release of ColorOS 17, eligible OnePlus smartphones will be offered an optional upgrade to ColorOS instead of remaining exclusively on OxygenOS.

OnePlus says this move simplifies software development and improves update delivery by sharing resources with OPPO.

Users who switch to ColorOS will have the option to roll back to OxygenOS, though details on supported versions will be announced later.

North American Community to Shut Down

OnePlus also confirmed that its North American Community website and app will permanently close on August 16, 2026, at 11:59 PM ET.

Members are advised to manually save their posts, photos, and guides before that date, as content will no longer be publicly available after shutdown.

To keep users connected, OnePlus plans to launch a global Discord server for community discussions, though it will not serve as an official customer support channel.
