Edifier has introduced the R1000TC II, a new set of active bookshelf speakers designed for desktop and study room use.
The product is now listed on JD. com in China at a price of 399 yuan ($58).

Design and Build
The speakers maintain a classic bookshelf form factor. The cabinets are constructed from medium-density fiberboard (MDF) to reduce unwanted resonance.
The front baffle features a black leather-textured finish, while the side panels sport a wood-grain appearance. Removable front grilles are included for dust protection.
The main active speaker measures 149 x 234 x 202.5 mm. Side-mounted physical dials on the right speaker control master volume, treble, and bass.

Audio Specifications
The R1000TC II uses a two-way driver design. High frequencies are handled by 1-inch tweeters with 19-core silk-coated dome diaphragms.
Midrange and bass are produced by 4-inch composite paper cone drivers with a yellow finish and reinforced rings for vibration control.
A built-in Class D digital amplifier delivers 21W per channel, for a total continuous output of 42W.
The frequency response range is 65Hz to 20kHz.

Connectivity and Features
The second-generation model brings key updates in connectivity. Bluetooth 6.0 support allows simultaneous dual-device connections.
Wired options include standard RCA line inputs and a USB sound card function for direct digital connection to a PC.
The speakers also integrate with the Edifier Connect mobile app.

Through the app, users can apply preset EQ profiles, adjust left and right channel balance, disable system notification sounds, and manage firmware updates.
