A couple from the United States says they were victims of a $500,000 burglary while staying at Andrea Bocelli's family estate in Forte dei Marmi, Italy.
The incident occurred on the eve of their wedding, according to sources who spoke with TMZ.

The couple claims intruders stole watches, cash, and fine jewelry from the villa while they were at dinner.
They say there was no sign of forced entry, and a wall safe they didn't know about was cracked open.

Local police responded, but the couple alleges the investigation was inadequate and the final report contained errors, including claims that the villa was unlocked and the alarm was off.

Sources close to the couple say representatives for the property and the Bocelli family dismissed their complaints and refused compensation.
The property's reps reportedly sent a cease and desist letter in response to the couple's demands.
