Both feature the brand's transparent design and Glyph interface but cater to slightly different users.

Design and Display
Both phones share Nothing's iconic transparent back with customizable Glyph LED patterns.
The Phone 4a uses a glass back with Gorilla Glass 7i on the front, while the 4b opts for polycarbonate.
Both are about 8.6 mm thick and carry an IP64 rating.
The 4a feels more premium with its glass elements, but the 4b is lighter. Colors include Black, White, Blue, and special editions.
In terms of display, the 4a features a 6.78-inch Flexible AMOLED with 1224x2720 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and up to 4,500 nits peak brightness.
The 4b has a 6.77-inch Super AMOLED with 1080x2344 resolution, 120Hz, and up to 2,000 nits peak brightness.
The 4a's higher resolution and brighter panel make it sharper outdoors and better for media consumption.

The Phone 4a is powered by a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset (up to 2.7 GHz) with up to 12 GB RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.
The 4b uses a Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 (up to 2.3 GHz) with 8 GB RAM and UFS 2.2 storage.
The 4a delivers smoother multitasking and better gaming performance.
In the camera department, the 4a boasts a 50 MP main sensor with OIS, a 50 MP 3.5x periscope telephoto, an 8 MP ultrawide, and a 32 MP front camera.
The 4b has a 50 MP main (OIS) and an 8 MP ultrawide, plus a 16 MP front camera.
The 4a's telephoto lens offers true optical zoom, making it far more versatile.
Battery, Software, and Price
The Phone 4a packs a 5,400 mAh battery with 50W wired charging (50% in ~22 minutes).
The 4b has a larger 6,000 mAh battery but slower 33W charging. The 4b wins on endurance, while the 4a charges faster.
