Xiaomi launched the 17T series globally in May, offering a blend of flagship features at competitive prices.
The standard 17T sports a 6.59-inch AMOLED display, Dimensity 8500 chip, and a 6,500 mAh battery.

The Pro model upgrades to a 6.83-inch 144Hz screen, Dimensity 9500 processor, 7,000 mAh battery, and a Leica-tuned camera with 5x optical zoom.
Both phones are IP68 water-resistant.
If you just got one of these devices, here are the first five things you should buy to protect it and get the most out of it.
A Good Case
A case is the most obvious but crucial accessory.
The 17T Pro has an aluminum frame and glass back, while the standard 17T uses a plastic frame with glass-fiber reinforced back.
Both are prone to damage from drops.
A silicone or TPU case adds shock absorption around the edges. Look for raised edges around the camera and screen for extra protection.

A clear hard case is a good option if you want to show off the phone's color.
A Screen Protector
The 17T series uses Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, but scratches and cracks can still occur.
A tempered glass screen protector adds a layer of defense without affecting touch sensitivity.
Choose a case-friendly protector that fits well with a case. This is especially important for gaming, as a poorly fitted protector can interfere with touch response.
A Fast Charger
The 17T supports 67W wired charging, while the 17T Pro handles up to 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.
While a charger is included, a backup for your desk or bag is useful.

Consider a wireless charger for the Pro model.
The Baseus Spacemate RD1 Pro, for example, combines a wireless pad with USB-C and USB-A ports, allowing you to charge your phone wirelessly while charging other devices.
Wireless Earbuds
Neither phone has a headphone jack, so Bluetooth earbuds are essential.
Some early buyers received Redmi Headphones Neo with the 17T or a Xiaomi Smart Band 10 with the 17T Pro.
If you didn't get a bundle, look for earbuds that support the phone's audio codecs. The Redmi Buds 8 Pro offers 55dB ANC and Hi-Res Audio support.
Extra Cloud Storage
Neither model has a microSD card slot, so you're limited to the internal storage you bought. Base models with 256GB can fill up quickly with photos and videos.
Set up cloud backup via Google Photos, Xiaomi Cloud, or another service. This keeps your data safe and frees up space without deleting anything.
