According to tipster Digital Chat Station, a Redmi flagship powered by Qualcomm's upcoming 2nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 series chipset is currently under testing.
The device is tentatively scheduled to launch in the first half of 2027.

The tipster did not reveal the marketing name, but it is believed to be the Redmi K100 Pro Max, the top model in the K100 lineup.
Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and Cooling
The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset is expected to be fabricated on TSMC's 2nm N2P process.
It will feature Qualcomm's next-generation Oryon CPU architecture with two prime cores, three performance cores, and three efficiency cores.

Previous reports suggest the prime cores could exceed the 5GHz frequency mark.
The device is also rumored to include an advanced cooling solution, possibly an active cooling fan for sustained performance.

Redmi K100 Series in August
While the flagship may arrive next year, the first Redmi K100 series models are still expected to launch in China this August.
The initial lineup is likely to include the Redmi K100 and Redmi K100 Pro (tentative names), both powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.
Leaks suggest the series will feature a 185Hz display, a 9,000mAh battery, a 200-megapixel primary camera, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera.

Other rumored specs include 100W wired charging, wireless charging, an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, a large vibration motor, and an IP-rated water-resistant design.
