Newly released 911 audio captures a heartbreaking plea from the family of Baltimore Ravens star Calais Campbell, just before his mother was found murdered.
In the recording, a man identified as Mr. Campbell tells the operator that his brother, Ciarre, is “mentally ill” and “diagnosed with schizophrenia.”

He asks police to check on their mother, Nateal Campbell, at her home in Atlanta's upscale Buckhead neighborhood.
The caller explains that neighbors saw Ciarre driving their mother's car, which was unusual.

Concerned, he rushed to the house but could not get inside, prompting the 911 call.
When officers arrived, they found Ciarre barricaded inside. They forced entry and took him into custody.
During a search, police discovered Nateal's body and determined she had been killed.

Ciarre was booked into Fulton County jail on charges of murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm or knife.
Authorities have not released a motive or further details about the alleged attack.
