Lumio has introduced Project Neo, an AI-powered content discovery feature that simplifies how users find and watch shows on their televisions.
Available in public beta for Lumio Vision TV users in India, the tool connects WhatsApp and Instagram directly with the TV, eliminating the need for a traditional remote control.

How Project Neo Works
Project Neo is built into Lumio's TLDR app and allows users to search for movies and TV shows by sending natural language messages through WhatsApp or Instagram.
Instead of typing with a TV remote or switching between streaming apps, users can describe what they want to watch in English, Hindi, or Hinglish.
Searches can be based on a title, actor, director, genre, language, mood, or even a partially remembered storyline.
If users are unsure what to watch, Neo can also recommend trending content available across supported streaming platforms.

The feature is designed around familiar messaging habits rather than introducing another standalone application.
Lumio says the idea is to bridge the gap between discovering content through conversations or social media and watching it on the television.
Since WhatsApp and Instagram are already widely used for sharing recommendations, the company believes they are the ideal platforms for interacting with Neo.

Instagram Integration
Project Neo also supports content discovery through Instagram.
If users come across a Reel, post, movie poster, or screenshot related to a film or TV show, they can share it directly with Neo.
The system identifies the content and sends it to the connected Lumio Vision TV, allowing users to start watching without manually searching for the title.
Lumio has started rolling out Project Neo in public beta for Vision TV users across India.

The company says the experience will continue to evolve based on user feedback as it refines the platform and expands its capabilities.
