“We’ve spent a lot of time talking about Jalen Hurts, and that’s fair,” Schefter said. “But Burrow and Herbert signed their deals not long after. Why isn’t there more discussion about their situations?”
Burrow agreed to a five-year, $275 million extension with Cincinnati in September 2023. Despite the investment, the Bengals have yet to return to the Super Bowl during his tenure, and his 2025 campaign was disrupted by injuries.
