Following a catastrophic P6 finish in 2020, they were able to rally and place third the following year. Nonetheless, they had the chance to compete in the world championship in 2022. At least, such was their belief.
Charles Leclerc was the early favorite to win the championship because the F1-75 was undoubtedly the fastest vehicle in the early going. Unfortunately, as the season went on, their title charge faded away due to tactical errors and mechanical problems.
