Lewis Hamilton recently made the decision to publicly address the matter on social media. The Mercedes actor has put an end to the notorious hashtag that was associated with his name with an Instagram post.
The biggest stars in Formula One emerged following the cancellation of the Grand Prix and contributed to the ongoing relief operations in Italy’s Emilia Romagna region. Hamilton contributed by backing the decision to call off the race. However, some fans had different plans. On social media, a hashtag with the name #WhereWasLewisHamiltonWhenbegan trending.
This is due to the fact that the seven-time world champion was not present in the Imola area. The Silver Arrows’ star had a suitable response to this.
Lewis Hamilton stops controversy with a social media post
The 38-year-old reposted an Instagram video from AlphaTauri’s official account on Sunday. The Japanese people in the film described the dire circumstances in Emilia Romagna and pleaded for donations if at all feasible.
There were encouraging messages from well-known people in this film as well. Along with many others, this group consists of Luca Dotto, Candela Pelizza, Wyclef Jean, Nyck de Vries, Fabio Borini, Santi Francesi, Pascal Siakam, and Lindsey Vonn.
How Did the Hashtag Come Into Existence?
The AlphaTauri star Yuki Tsunoda went above and beyond to assist the team, officials, and townspeople in the rescue mission in Faenza while Formula 1 and Scuderia Ferrari each contributed $1 million to the rescue effort. Tsunoda was present in the town of Faenza, providing assistance to the inhabitants as needed.
But Hamilton, who is renowned for his kindness and advocacy, wasn’t there. Instead, the seven-time world champion was spotted at Hailey Bieber’s skincare company, Rhode, launch event.
At this point, several fans made the decision to make fun of Lewis Hamilton online. But Hamilton’s supporters stepped up to the plate and vigorously backed him.
Now they’re blaming him for not being in a country that’s flooded and sweeping the streets but no word to any of the drivers and pundits who were already there and didn’t do anything 💀
