Without a doubt, Lewis Hamilton has led the way for transformation in Formula 1. The seven-time champion has been much more than that, as seen by his off-track triumphs, which say volumes about his character. With his fantastic platform where he can influence change, Hamilton has been able to look at F1 beyond the sport.
Hamilton is not the type to easily fit into a mold. Hamilton’s outspoken approach goes against the grain of what is expected of an F1 driver. But he succeeds. The humanitarian takes it upon himself to make the greatest possible contribution, whether it be to the battle against racism, the advancement of LGBTQ rights, or gender equality. He has been on his own side quests in addition to assisting Mercedes in completing his mission to speed up the procedure.
Lewis Hamilton Wants More than Victories
Hamilton leads all previous drivers in the history of the sport with 103 career victories. That isn’t as significant to him, though. The 38-year-old has taken stock of what he believes to be his purpose and is now looking beyond the racetrack.
Hamilton noted that the level of diversity decreases typically as you move up the tier. And this is what he concentrates on bringing about change in the various businesses he is involved in. In 2020, I understood what my compass [is], what my North Star was, and what my purpose in life was.
The violent killing of George Floyd served as a wake-up call for Hamilton to better serve his community, according to the statement. The experience made the Mercedes driver speak out more about these social ills, despite the fact that he already did so.

I was winning races for a very long time and still felt like something was missing. Winning races is fantastic, but I’m in this position for a reason. Only I have managed to arrive here.
Hamilton has acknowledged that he is living his purpose by intelligently using his accomplishments and his position in the sport.
Hamilton a Lone Wolf
The driver is encouraged to represent his community well by the fact that he is the only Black driver in the sport, but it might be a lonesome battle against the other drivers. Hamilton acknowledged that adjustments have been made in recent years, but he had mistakenly believed that they would happen much more quickly in his early career.

When we (Hamilton and his father) got to F1, we thought we had broken the mold and thought that would change things. But because I knew no one else was interested in doing the work, I formed the Hamilton Commission because that wasn’t enough.
And he completed the task. Hamilton has been treated unfairly during the voyage, which he describes as being an arduous, narrow, and extremely lonely path to tread. The doors are now open to everyone since he has overcome obstacles that no one could have imagined. Lewis Hamilton’s trip may have been alone, but the reward will be a sweet, sweet win.
